Most people are confused about what to eat post recovery from COVID-19.
Many people complain of fatigue following Covid infection.
Frequent small meals and a diet rich in protein like egg whites, pulses, nuts, low fat milk, chicken and fish helps in reducing fatigue and increasing muscle mass post Covid.
Fruits are a rich source of fibre, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and help in enhancing our body’s immunity and stabilizing sugar levels.
Avoid fruit juices, milk shakes as they are devoid of fibre and have high glycemic index. Fruits with high glycemic index like bananas, mango and cheeku must be avoided by diabetic patients.
Consumption of low calorie fluids like butter milk, lime juice, green tea, clear soups and water should be encouraged.
