ब्लड शुगर लेवल कितना होना चाहिए ? | Normal Range of Blood Sugar Levels: After Eating and Fasting
In today’s video, we will discuss the Normal Range of Blood Sugar Levels.
Blood sugar levels can be classified into 3 categories:
1) Normal
2) Diabetic
3) Pre-diabetic
The blood sugar level for a normal person checked early morning before breakfast (fasting) should be less than 100, and the blood sugar level monitored 2 or 2.5 hours after the meal (postprandial) should be less than 140.
Sugar patients often monitor their levels using a glucometer, and the tests taken at the lab vary greatly from that. They differ because the lab is professionally equipped, and blood is taken out properly from the veins. But, while using a glucometer at home, we take blood from the fingers where it comes more than from veins.
The fasting blood sugar level for a diabetic patient measured from a glucometer should be between 80-130. More than 130 is a sign of danger. The postprandial blood sugar levels should be less than 180 for a diabetic patient.
If the patient is pre-diabetic, his blood sugar levels are between 100-120. The postprandial of such patients are seen between 140-200.
If you’re in this stage, you can save yourself from diabetes by adapting some changes in your diet.
NOTE: If you’re diabetic or in the pre-diabetic stage, you can consult our doctors regarding your diet plans and exercise schedule.
