If you know the symptoms of diabetes, did you know it’s possible to determine if someone is entering a pre-diabetic stage or if they are already diabetic? The body gives some signs indicating the development of this disease. Today, I am bringing this video to explain some of these symptoms. If you want to learn more, stay until the end of the video.
When talking about diabetes, it’s important to recognize the early signs, which can vary depending on the type. One of the most common symptoms is frequent urination, known as polyuria. This happens because high blood sugar levels cause the kidneys to filter excess glucose, leading to more trips to the bathroom.
Now, since you’re urinating more, you’ll probably feel excessive thirst, a condition called polydipsia. Your body becomes dehydrated and you start drinking much more water than usual.
You might also notice an increase in hunger, known as polyphagia. Even though you are eating more, you may still feel hungry all the time. This happens because your body is not using glucose effectively for energy, so it keeps sending hunger signals.
Despite eating more, some people experience unexplained weight loss. This occurs because the body starts breaking down muscle and fat for energy since it can’t use glucose properly.
Feeling extremely tired is another common symptom. This fatigue happens because the body’s cells are not getting the glucose they need for energy, making you feel drained and exhausted.
Blurred vision can also be an early sign of diabetes. High blood sugar levels cause the lens of the eye to swell, leading to changes in vision.
You might notice that cuts and bruises take longer to heal or that you have frequent infections. High blood sugar levels can impair your body’s ability to heal and fight infections.
Before discussing the last initial symptoms of diabetes, I have a message for you. In the description of this video, I will leave a link to a class that shows how to reverse diabetes in a simple way.
Another sign to watch out for is tingling or numbness in the hands or feet, known as neuropathy. This occurs because high blood sugar levels can damage nerves, especially in the extremities.
Finally, some people develop dark patches on the skin, usually in the folds and creases of the body. This condition, called acanthosis nigricans, can be a sign of insulin resistance.
If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, it’s essential to consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.
